SCORING

Players score points for the Fantasy Football game in all league and cup matches:

           
  		• Goal 3 pts  
  		• Assist (last completed pass from attacking player to goalscorer) 2 pts  
  		• Appearance (playing even 1 minute of a match) 1 pt  
  		• Goalkeeper/Defender clean sheet (when on the field for 45 minutes or more, includes appearance point) 4 pts  
  		• Goalkeeper/Defender goal conceded -1 pt  
  		• Yellow Card -1 pt  
  		• Red Card -4 pts  
  		• Man of the match (as chosen by manager) 4 pts  
GOALS are allocated as by manager

ASSISTS are awarded to a teammate making the last completed pass to an eventual goalscorer before a goal is scored. There are only two exceptions:

1) If the last touch before a goalscorer is from a team-mate but his touch does not significantly alter the speed or direction of the ball, then two separate assists are given, one for each of the players setting up the goal. This will typically occur for flick-on headers - a common result of corners, long throws and goal kicks.

2) If the last touch before a goalscorer is by an opposing player and significantly alters the speed or direction of the ball (excluding a goal-line clearance), then no assist is given.

In the event of a penalty, the fouled player gains an assist if the penalty is successfully scored, but not if he takes it himself in which case no assist is given.

Similarly, a player that causes a handball on the goalline (the only circumstance where an assist will be awarded for a handball) will gain an assist if the resulting penalty is scored, except if the same attacking player takes it. No assist is given for a player who earns a free kick that subsequently results in a goal.

APPEARANCE POINTS are awarded to a player who is on the pitch for at least 1 minute, including extra-time. Defenders or goalkeepers appearing in only part of a game will lose one point per goal conceded while playing.

If no goals are conceded while playing, players will receive three points for a CLEAN SHEET, if they are on the field for 45 minutes or more.

Man of the Match are awarded to the player who the Manager choses at the man of the match (there doesn't have to be one!)
